Welcome by Roger DeCoster

"It's a privilege for the DeCoster's Kids Team and myself to share our website with you. Times have changed drastically since I was the age of the children we reach with our exciting program. Peer pressure, drugs, gangs, money, leisure time and changing morality have made this new millenium the most challenging in history for today's moms, dads, teachers, law enforcement, and society in general. Our hope is if one young person heeds the message of our team it is well worth the effort. In this great country, dreams can still be fulfilled through vision, commitment and hard work.

Our "Prevention Through Motivation" (PTM) assemblies will motivate your youth group - whether camp, school or church, to reach for the stars and follow after their goals and dreams.

After winning five 500cc world championships and numerous other titles, I feel compelled to share with others, especially our youth, the message "if it's in you to dream, it's in you to achieve." Remember, thought is the seed of action. As a young man, I had a dream to be a champion. I had to work hard after school to buy my own motorcycle and begin racing. I did it because I love the challenge. Money was scarce to buy parts and tires but my dream, vision and love for my sport helped me conquer and live my dream.

I believe in our PTM programs that we share with our youth. Operation VOICE, an anacronym for VISION, OPTIMISM, IDEALISM, COMMITMENT and ENTHUSIASM, is the heart of every assembly program and one that I know works. Presented in an interactive manner with your students, it will give them a vision of their potential and capabilities and increase their self worth. Your youth will have the hands on opportunity of not only seeing and hearing but will be directly involved with their peers in helping present these motivating messages.

We hope you enjoy this website as much as we do presenting our programs. Your comments and ideas are always welcome at DeCoster's Kids. Thank you."
